Meditation and stuff

I ran into a dear old friend of mine the other day, buddha, and we had a long talk about prayer and meditation, and the effect of it on humanity. Now buddha is a pretty cool dude, a little too much of a hippie for me but he's pretty chill. Basically we came to the same conclusion.

Prayer for the sake of self or praying for yourself is quite inadequate in solving life's dilemma's. It'll make you feel better, but it won't solve your problems. The B-man and I agree that self-actualization might be the only way to break from standard form of living and achieve a higher conscienceness. Now buddha happens to be a nice guy along the way. I'm more of a prick when it comes to the business end of my dealings. Don't forget buddha was a prince who had been kept away sheltered from the harsh reality of the world. His awakening is very singular, in that most of the rich today would never give up a life of luxury (sheltered or not), they might self destruct because of their riches, but never run away from it and become a monk.

Buddha and I disagree about cycles and the nature of life. He's dead on about how people are, but the achievement of a higher conscience or path in life cannot be achieved simply by following rules set by him or by sitting under a tree and achieving nirvana, it doesn't work that way. Not even selling your soul to me can bring about the real you. Only through deep meditation about how you are can you achieve your own awakening. Everyone is different in the fact that you have been coded to be a certain way. Outside experience effects how you are as a person, along with genetic codes that effect your brain function. These things create the "individual". That being said your no different than the person next to you, humans have so much untapped potential it's sickening.

One other thing I want to touch on briefly while I'm talking about buddha, is something buddha realized but didn't. When you look at the ying and yang The smaller circles can actually be smaller ying and yang's which done indefinitely creates the fact of reincarnation. The endless return of life back to itself. What buddha didn't realize is that this wave in the symbol is not a static wave. It moves, the cycle is everyflowing, which actually creates chaos inside this harmonic symbol. Harmony cannot be achieved so simply and this is what I explained to buddha. It kind of blew his mind. He's actually hiding in a corner somewhere right now. Oh well, the truth is a hard pill to swallow.

I'd expound more right now, but I got work to do, it's friday and lot is going on.

Grrr. I posted that comment to your blog about five days ago, didn't see it and posted again and there it was. Blogger is annoying me with my personal Blog as well. I have to say though, that the ever flowing wave in the ying and yang symbol feels harmonious to me. We shouldn't be stagnant, although most that I know, with some exceptions, are more than willing to accept that. Ahhh well what do I know? I talk to the devil!

Yeah plus it seems some of the extra comments I can delete and some I can't. It's weird. It's almost as bothersome as eternal torment, and playing jenga.
